360° videos and latest Regina Ambassador launched on new platform
Regina, SK (Oct. 11, 2016) Tourism Regina has announced its third Ambassador and a new platform to show off all the great experiences our City has to offer.
Suzy Krause was chosen in mid-September with overwhelming support from social media. She’ll join Ambassadors Justin Reves and Katie Bially while they await the fourth and final Ambassador to be announced in October.
To show off all of the content the Ambassadors are generating, a new platform has been created by Tourism Regina—www.seeyqr.ca. This intuitive microsite, still part of tourismregina.com, will include profiles and content from the Ambassadors, and will be home to several new 360° videos from events around Regina!
“These 360° videos will give visitors, who don’t yet know a lot about our city, a chance to truly see and immerse themselves in its unique events and attractions before they plan their trip,” said Director of Tourism and Branding, Deborah Rush. “Seeyqr.ca will also be a valuable resource for travellers booking trips in 2017, Canada’s 150th anniversary.
These videos take the viewer into the action at Regina Folk Fest, City Square Plaza, Market Under the Stars, and a Saskatchewan Roughriders Football game, and soon, Agribition. This allows the viewer to explore at their own pace before planning a trip to Regina.
“Regina Folk Fest, the City of Regina, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Agribition have been great partners to work with during this project. With their help we are able to show the vibrancy of Regina and expose it to whole new demographic who may not have considered Regina as a destination to visit,” Rush said.
Tourism Regina launched the Regina Ambassador Program in July to showcase the awesome people in Regina who are doing a great job promoting the city as a fantastic place to live and play, and give them a platform to share.
