Festive Fall Day Tour
Now that fall is in the air, it’s time to take in the beautiful colours and festive activities. Lumsden, located just 25 minutes outside of Regina, has a lot to offer in the autumn season including Pumpkin Hollow!
Pumpkin Hollow Corn Maze is 15 Acres of a-MAZE-ing Fun! Pumpkin Hollow is open now until Oct. 18. With so many great attractions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Pumpkin Hollow from the awesome corn maze, which is open in the daytime and at night, to the Corn Cannon and Jumping Pillow. Whether it’s navigating the challenging corn maze, spending time with the Pumpkin Princess, visiting with the friendly farm animals, relaxing on a scenic hay ride around the farm, or taking in the festival events, you’ll be sure to encounter something wonderful.
After a full day of picking pumpkins and jumping around, you’re sure to be hungry. Head back to Lumsden and make your way over to Fourth & James located at 375 James Street North to curb your sweet tooth. This bakery is sure to leave your taste buds wanting more, but leave some room for dessert at Over the Hill Orchards!
Over the Hill Orchards is located between Lumsden and Regina and specializes in Saskatchewan-grown prairie cherries, apples, apricots and plums! The Kreutzer family takes pride in their hard work over the past decade in creating hardy fruit that can withstand the Saskatchewan climates. They offer tours of their orchard up until Thanksgiving, and they also have a store where you can purchase everything from spreads, to pastries, to their own home made chocolate covered cherries! Have a gluten allergy? Not a problem! All of their products are organic AND gluten free! Enjoy a tasty slice of Prairie Cherry Pie at the end of your tour.
So don’t let the cooler temperature ruin your good time, get out there and see all the festive fun fall has to offer!
