CONSERVATORY WINTER CARNIVAL & CONCERT FUNDRAISER – EVENING EVENT

The Conservatory Winter Carnival & Concert Fundraiser EVENING EVENT will be a wonderful mix of music performances in a fun party atmosphere.

All profits from tickets sold for the performance and carnival games will go to support the Conservatory Education Outreach Fund. This fund is being established to support famlies with financial need who are interested in our programs and to enable the Conservatory to provide free arts education learning opportunities out in the community. Learn more about the fund or donate here:giving.uregina.ca

The event runs open at 6:00 pm, where guests are encouraged to mingle, grab drinks, and play some carnival games set-up in the lobby/link area of Darke Hall. Game play tokens will be available for purchase (debit/credit/cash) on the event day in the Darke Hall Link. Game play tokens will be $10 for 10 tokens. Carnival games will be available from 6:00 – 7:00 pm (before the show) and from approximately 8 – 8:30 pm (during the intermission).

Doors to the theatre will open at 6:30 pm, with the first performances starting at 7:00 pm. There will be two sets of performances with a 30-minute intermission in between.

We are pleased to announce that Lyssa & the Try-Tones will be performing on the night. Born from a mutual desire to keep soul music alive and real in the modern age, Lyssa and the Try-Tones sound like something you’d hear pressed onto vinyl coming out of Detroit in the 1970s. True to the spirit of the genre, the band records all their songs live off the floor. Showcasing real musicianship while keeping it real in an old school kind of way. Members include Alyssa Woolhether (vocals & guitar), Erik Mehlsen (guitar), Courtney Ballantyne (bass), and Ukay Enoch (drums). Learn more about the group: lyssa.ca

Additional performers still to be announced!

Dress to impress! One lucky audience member will go home with a free Conservatory of Performing Arts camp or class (valued at up to $275) in our Best Dressed contest. Since this is a winter carnival, the best Carnival or Circus Themed Outfit will be chosen by the audience after intermission as the winner.
