Faure Piano Quartet
The Cecilian Chamber Series presents the fifth concert in the 2023/2024 season, Pictures.
Classical music enthusiasts are in for a treat on March 24th, 2024, as the Fauré Piano Quartett makes its first appearance in Regina. The quartet will be performing two iconic pieces of classical music: Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and Brahms’ Piano Quartet Op. 60.
Pictures at an Exhibition, a suite of ten pieces for piano composed by Mussorgsky, is known for its vivid musical portrayals of various scenes and images, each piece describing a different picture in a gallery. The Faure Quartett’s interpretation of this piece is sure to be breathtaking. The quartet will also be performing Brahms’ Piano Quartet Op. 60, a masterpiece of chamber music that showcases Brahms’ melodic genius and intricate harmonies.
