We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is Treaty 4 territory and the traditional territory of the Anihšinābēk, Nêhiyawak, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakota peoples, and the original home of the Métis/Michif Nation. We recognize that both Indigenous and Métis people are the spiritual and cultural keepers of their traditional lands and still to this day, continue to practice their values, languages, beliefs and knowledge.
Huddle in the Heartland
Calling all youth ages 5 to 12 to huddle up in the heartland and learn the great game of Canadian football. Football Saskatchewan will lead the interactive programming to further development of the sport in the province and help Saskatchewan young people grow their skills in the game. From accuracy throwing, kicking, running and more, this is a hands-on, fun experience that gives young people a great way to try different drills and setups each day and create lifelong memories along the way.
“Sask Lotteries is thrilled to be the presenting partner of Huddle in the Heartland at the 2022 Grey Cup Festival,” said Sask Lotteries volunteer board chair Michael Rogers. “As the funder for more than 12,000 sport, culture and recreation groups, Sask Lotteries provides opportunities for participants of all ages and abilities to learn, play and grow. Sport, culture and recreation programming helps individuals connect and get active, experience arts and culture, as well as enjoy parks, public spaces and activities that build strong communities.”
