Supper in the Orchard Featuring Chef Andrew Paquette
Over the Hill Orchards and Winery is a picturesque destination nestled in the heart of Southern Saskatchewan, offering unforgettable experiences for wine enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
Over the Hill Orchards and Winery has partnered with local chef, Andrew Paquette to host Supper In the Orchard. Book your seat advance online, and join us at 5:30 p.m. on our patio overlooking the beautiful valley, where you can enjoy a glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage. Attendees are seated indoors beside large picture windows where the owners, Dean and Sylvia Kreutzer, briefly discuss the history of the orchard and introduce the chef(s) for the evening. Between courses a 30-minute tour of the orchard is offered (weather permitting). Supper begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends around 9 p.m.
About Chef Andrew Paquette:
Andrew Paquette was born in Victoria BC, and spent his childhood years moving around ontario as his father was in the military. He moved to saskatoon at age 13 and spent his teenage years there. He started cooking at a young age was cooking dinner for family by ten years old, and began cooking in a restaurant at age 15 because the hours were flexable and could work around playing football. He quickly fell in love with it. After four years working in a few different kitchens around saskatoon a new opportunity working with Dale Mackay at Sticks and Stones in saskatoon became available. After working there for a year, Dale asked for help in opening a restaurant in Regina called Avenue. After 4 years as the sous chef at Avenue restaurant and bar, Andrew moved back to Saskatoon to become the head chef at Sticks and Stones.
Andrew has been mainly french trained but has a love for Italian food due to his grandmother being an Italian immigrant. When he is not in the kitchen you can find him in the gym or spending time with family.
