Supper in the Orchard featuring Chef Cayley Milne

At Over the Hill Orchards and Winery, we’re delighted to offer our “Supper in the Orchard” series, in collaboration with local chefs, from May 3th through October 13th, 2024.

These culinary evenings feature a multi-course meal crafted predominantly from local and orchard-fresh ingredients. The evening kicks off on the outdoor patio, weather permitting, offering guests a chance to enjoy a drink with a view, followed by a cozy indoor setting by large picture windows for the supper.

The event includes a brief introduction to the orchard’s history by owners, Dean and Sylvia Kreutzer, and a presentation of the evening’s culinary talents. Guests are also treated to a 30-minute orchard tour between courses (weather permitting). The supper experience starts at 6:30 p.m. and concludes around 9 p.m.

Featuring Chef Cayley Milne:

Cayley hails from a small town in Southern Alberta but has been lucky enough to cook all over this beautiful country. He has worked at several fine dining establishments in Toronto and Vancouver. He returned home to cook at the prestigious Longview Steakhouse in Alberta, voted one of the top fifteen steakhouses in the world. After meeting his partner, who is from Regina, the couple decided to relocate to Saskatchewan in the spring of 2021. Since putting down roots in Regina, he is happy to be part of the exceptional team at Avenue Restaurant.

Cayley’s thoughtfulness and inquisitive nature is reflected in his cooking as is his respect for the ingredients and the farmers that produce them. Choosing to mirror classic flavours with modern techniques his goal is to always create something thought provoking and delicious.
