December 6, 2019 – December 8, 2019
International Trade Centre, Evraz Place
The 2nd Annual Prairie Christmas Dog Show is organized by members of the Regina Kennel and Obedience Club.
This is a Christmas themed show and the International Trade Center will be transformed into a Christmas extravaganza. Come and get those hard to buy gifts and take in the dog show. All weekend we will have approximately 30 vendors ranging from small home business to crafters, specialized dog supplies & foods, jewelry, custom art and graphic designers, home decor and so much more. We have an international judging panel and you will see some of the top dogs from across Canada compete in conformation and obedience.
Friday is regarded as Christmas Eve and you will see judges and participants wearing their Christmas pajamas. The day is topped off with everyone enjoying cookies for Santa before Best in Show is awarded. NEW this year is the SENIOR (+ 40) Conformation Handling Competition. This event is sure to bring a few laughs.
Saturday starts out with presents left by Santa and is designated Christmas day. When showing their dogs you will see everyone dressed up as you would for a fancy Christmas dinner. There will be an award given out for the Best Decorated grooming area. Returning at noon is the ever popular plushapaloza which is open to ALL kids up to 10 years of age, to come and have a dog show with their stuffed dogs. The little ones are just adorable taking their plushies around the ring and showing them off. That night there is traditional Christmas dinner, as well as a secret Santa.
Sunday is considered Boxing Day and everyone is encouraged to wear their ugly Christmas sweaters. There will be a competition for the best, or should we say worst, ugly Christmas sweater. Sunday will also include Canine Good Neighbour Testing and the 2nd Annual Children’s Art Winners will be announced (people’s choice, voting by ballot)
