Problem Solving for Small Businesses

Using real life examples, a panel of business consulting experts will address detailed issues found in small business in the age of COVID. This panel will take place on Zoom, and will be moderated by Lorne Boyle. The panel speakers include: 

Bruce Anderson MBA ICD.D CMC. After 15 years in senior roles at the not-for-profit sector, Bruce Anderson became an entrepreneur, launching and building several businesses. He continues as Managing Partner with b-creative group, a firm specializing in marketing and branding, and planning and growth. Bruce also teaches strategy, entrepreneurship, and consulting with the Paul J. Hill School of Business and the Kenneth Levene Graduate School of Business at the University of Regina.  Bruce received his MBA from the University of Regina. He also holds the designations of Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and Institute of Chartered Directors (ICD.D). 

Al Thibeault PEng  PMP CMC Al is President of Amistra Consulting Ltd, a Saskatchewan corporation, in business since 2009. Amistra is located in Regina and is currently providing a full range of Asset Management services, from advisory to implementation to Saskatchewan Municipalities. Al is a Professional Engineer and a Certified Management Consultant who also has a wide range of skills including the development of business cases, feasibility studies, grants and proposals, data and business and technology modelling, industry reports, stakeholder consultation and engagement, strategy development and project planning and management. 

Larry Hiles PAg FICB C.Dir CMC Larry is currently a Regina Chair for TEC Canada, providing executive coaching for CEOs and business owners.  He also provides consulting services in the areas of governance, strategy, and organizational design.  He has held executive roles in the Centre for Management Development at the U of R Faculty of Business, the Regina Regional Opportunities Corporation, Doepker Industries and was the senior Sask representative for CIBC and Director Commercial Banking.  Larry’s community service includes leadership and director roles in over 15 corporate boards over the years, including Information Services Corporation, Sask Chamber of Commerce, Sask Economic Development Association, Spring Board West Innovations Inc., Regina Palliative Care, FHQ Developments Ltd., Thomas’s Circle of Care, and the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Sask. 

Blaine Canitz PAg CMC Blaine has over 35 years of business ownership, senior leadership and management consulting experience and has been in a leadership role in BDC, a national financial institution. As a Professional Agrologist and a Certified Management Consultant, Blaine has had leadership responsibility in many corporations specifically assisting with Equity Raises and Financing, facilitation of Succession and Transition Agreements, Interim Executive Management and corporate start-ups and turnarounds.  Blaine has a vast breadth of experience in Ag-Tech and Biotech, manufacturing, agribusiness, data collection and analysis, wholesale parts and retail agriculture input

Linda Prafke FCMC When I started my company BMG Business Management Group in 1994, I was determined to focus my efforts to working with entrepreneurs in the start-up and early growth phase of business.
