Join us for the 1st MAGnificent Pumpkin Parade!

This year, we have created a COVID-safe pumpkin carving contest, with 4 different prize categories, for youth and adults alike! Simply carve your pumpkin at home and bring it by the Gallery for judging and display.

This contest is open to everyone, but registration is limited. Registrants will be able to take their pumpkins home between 2-3 PM on 31 October*, in time for Halloween.

$25 gift cards to the MacKenzie Shop will be awarded to pumpkins in the following categories:

  1. Scariest – Youth (17 & under)
  2. Most Creative – Youth (17 & under)
  3. Scariest – Adult (18 & over)
  4. Most Creative – Adult (18 & over)

Pumpkins can be dropped off during Gallery hours on Wednesday, 28 October and Thursday, 29 October, or between 10 AM and 1 PM on Friday, 30 October. Judging will take place on Friday, 30 October, and the winners will be announced at 2 PM that day via the MacKenzie’s social media.

We will have all of the pumpkins on display on Saturday, 31 October beginning from 10 AM to 2 PM! The first 25 visitors wearing a full costume will receive a sketchbook and MacKenzie pencil.

*Please note that any pumpkins left at the MacKenzie after 3 PM on 31 October will be disposed of.
