Family Eats and Treats

  • 1. Fresh Carnival
Feel the carnival atmosphere at the downtown restaurant where the food puts on the show. Feast on fairground favourites and kooky creations, like their bacon mac and cheese hot dog, pizza poutine, and chocolate peanut butter funnel cake. Glorious donuts will have you doing cartwheels of joy and kids will go crazy for a cotton candy flavoured Unicorn Freakshake.

  • 2. Baller’s Rec Room
Hit a home run with a fun-packed family day at Baller’s Rec Room. With arcade games, pool, skee ball, air hockey, Mario Kart, pin ball, foosball, and 10,000 square feet of batting cages – this place knocks action out the park. Keep your energy up during the excitement with a great family meal from a classic menu featuring all the kids’ favourites. Little sluggers are welcome to take a swing and join in the fun until 8pm.

  • 3. Fuddruckers
Fuddruckers’ spacious, canteen-style interior guarantees a seat for the biggest of families. These hugely popular burger experts make their premium-cut patties grilled to order, and bake their buns from scratch. Kids will love piling the fixins high at the Build Your Own bar – and finishing off their creations with Fudd’s creamy cheese sauce. Fuddruckers claim to make the World’s Greatest Hamburger – so why not give it a try?

  • 4. Beaks Chicken
This locally owned and operated deep fried chicken specialist went from food truck to restaurant, and has become a highly popular fast-casual dining experience. Get down there early to crunch into their delicious fried chicken and waffles, poutine, mac and cheese, and other high-quality dishes made to order. They’re getting so popular that they now have growing line-ups and the occasional sell-out.

  • 5. Mercury Cafe & Grill
Step onto the checkerboard floor and back to better times in this laid-back retro diner. Slide your family into a comfortable booth, and wait for your friendly server to take your order. What’s not to love about timeless food, like bumper breakfasts, homemade burgers and fries, classic sandwiches, hearty appetizers and fruit pies? And Coca-Cola absolutely always tastes better from a glass bottle.

In the spirit of reconciliation

We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is Treaty 4 territory and the traditional territory of the Anihšinābēk, Nêhiyawak, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakota peoples, and the original home of the Métis/Michif Nation. We recognize that both Indigenous and Métis people are the spiritual and cultural keepers of their traditional lands and still to this day, continue to practice their values, languages, beliefs and knowledge.
