It’s 2023, and what better way to start the New Year than experiencing downtown Regina? Whether you are a Regina resident or just visiting for a few days, downtown is “Where it’s at!” If you’re visiting Regina between January 20th – 29th, you can experience Regina Downtown Restaurant Week. Restaurants have created unique menu items for you to enjoy, all under $40. Restaurant Week was established in 2016 to increase patronage of local downtown restaurants during the winter season. We have over ten restaurants participating this year with lots of variety. Restaurant Week is a great way to encourage the public to come out and experience Regina’s diverse and expanding culinary scene.
While you’re staying in Regina, don’t forget to take in Restaurant Week at our hotel restaurants – Circa27 Lounge (Hotel Saskatchewan), Kookie’s Krib Fireside Lounge (Ramada), and Wild Sage (DoubleTree by Hilton).Look to spend your day downtown and hit up as many participating restaurants as possible within walking distance. Here’s a quick foodie tour:
- Start with breakfast at Fresh & Sweet – As featured on “You Gotta Eat Here!”, this café is known for its breakfast and cupcakes.
- Lunch at the Rice Guy – The perfect way to warm up on a cold winter day with a delicious Vietnamese bowl of soup.
- Enjoy an authentic Greek supper at Copper Kettle – Did you know this is one of the oldest businesses downtown?
- End your day with drinks at The Fat Badger – Located on Scarth Street, this local Irish pub is a great spot to catch live local music (19+)
Are you looking for something fun to do on January 27th? Work up an appetite skating on our outdoor rink, Rink @ City Square, with music and fire pits before finishing the night with a meal at a participating restaurant.
