The top ten apps to make experiencing Regina even easier.

1)Dash “Drink Well, Dine Often” is the motto for Dash, a dining app that allows you to search by type of dining experience, including allergy sensitive dining options. The best feature is the Daily Deals tab that pulls up all deals at restaurants on a particular day. Find it on Android and Apple. 2) Skip the Dishes When you don’t feel like “Dash”ing out to the nearest restaurant for a bite to eat, you can choose the comfort of dining in by using Skip the Dishes to either pick-up your order or have it delivered. This app partners with local restaurants to get you your favourite dishes in under 45 minutes. They even offer live GPS tracking so you know precisely where your meal is. Find it on Android and Apple. 3) SnackMap SnackMap uses live GPS to track all ten food trucks cruising around the city. It shows their location, a description of the types of food they serve and hours of operation. You can also access each of their social media channels to follow online. Find it on Android and Apple.

4) City of Regina CityApp The most comprehensive Regina app is offered by the City of Regina. Including information on jobs, recycling, flights, road reports and even a live transit map, it’s the perfect app to find all general information and updates about the city. For Android users, the Regina Radio Stations app lets you select from 17 stations broadcasting in the city. Users beware that you will incur data costs to stream the stations which makes me wonder why we ever got rid of portable AM/FM radios. For Apple users, you’ll have to download each radio station’s individual app to your phone. Find it on Android. 6) Bands in Town Concerts Wondering what big musicians are playing at the Brandt Centre or Conexus Arts Centre? What about smaller venues like Victoria’s Tavern, The Owl or The Artful Dodger? The Bands in Town app lists all music events occurring in Regina by date. It even lets you set your radius so you can see bands in nearby cities that might be worth a Saskatchewan road trip. Find it on Android and Apple. 7) University of Regina The University of Regina offers an app for students to keep up with day-to-day life on campus. Although most menu links redirect you to their website, the information is easily available through only a few clicks. Find it on Android and Apple

8) Rider App All the latest media, schedules and stats on Regina’s favourite CFL Football team can be found on the Rider app. You can also purchase merchandise and tickets for games through the app. Find it on Android and Apple.

9) Transit App Transit App pulls up all active bus lines in Regina to help you figure out when to grab the next bus. The best feature is the active countdown letting you know precisely when your bus will be at the stop – so you don’t have to go running down the street to catch it.
