Food is a long-standing tradition at local carnivals and Queen City Ex has pushed the boundaries once again to bring Regina some great new treats. Check out some of the items that we had the chance to try before the gates opened.

Butter Beer Soft Serve

There are no smoke and mirrors here! Cool down on these hot summer days with a magical butter beer ice cream treat. Choose from a charcoal cone or enjoy it in a dish. Step it up a notch with the smoking version. No matter how its swirled, this treat is sure to cast a spell on your taste buds.

Potato-Less Cheese Curd Poutine

Potatoes have infiltrated your breakfast as hash browns, your lunch as fries, and your dinner as, well, potatoes. The buck stops here! Get more of the good stuff in this potato-less poutine. All the gravy and cheese with no sneaky potatoes.

Flamin’ Cheetos Corn Dog

What if I told you that you can have your corn dog and eat your Cheetos too? Now, what if I told you that you could do it one-handed? This classic fair favourite is rolled in jalapeño cheese and coated in Flamin’ Cheetos to make it a treat that will kick up the flavour game and leave you with a free hand for tossing rings or throwing darts.

Crab Stuffed Burger

Surf ‘n’ Turf has finally made its way to the midway! Whether you are a sea lover or prefer to stick to land, your mouth will water at the sight of this majestic burger. Top it all off with fresh veggies and a house made sauce. You certainly were not expecting to find this type of fare at the fair!

Veggie Corn Dog

This soy-based dog has your name written all over it (actually it is mustard in the spelling of your name). Get one and blend right in with everyone else who is enjoying their typical corn dogs at the QCX. While you are at this stop, give the Korean cauliflower a try as well. We did not get to taste it, but trust us, we will be back for it!

Cotton Candy Taco

We promise this treat is worth every second of sticky fingers. Cotton floss has (thankfully) found its way into a waffle taco and has been drizzled with icing and topped with wafer sticks. While it would be perfectly acceptable to share this treat with your exhibition buddy, we promise that you will not want to.
