It's that wonderful time of year when restaurant dishes get a different kick. That's right, the Great Canadian Pulse Off returned Oct. 23-27!

Did you know the Greater Regina Area grows a massive portion of the world’s pulse crops? To celebrate that fact, the Regina Downtown BID hosted the 2nd annual Great Canadian Pulse Off restaurant competition! Five local downtown chefs created a pulse-focused dish that was voted on by you. Regina Ambassador Suzy tried a couple dishes and made her vote. And for the second year in a row, Victoria's Tavern took home the cup!

"Iiiiiiiit’s PULSE WEEK AGAIN! The great lentil battle. Five restaurants. I’m so ready for all this eating.#Seeyqr #GCPO" "@beerbros meat pie with from-scratch pastry dough, locally-sourced green lentils, short rib bison meat, fresh vegetable, and secret spice mix." via @reginadowntownbid "Action shot from lunch today. PSA: the meat pies at @beerbros are amazing. And after pulse week, they are going to disappear from the menu. Like meaty, flaky ghosts. #GCPO #SeeYQR #yqrlovespulses#yqrdt" -Suzy
