As YQR Ambassadors, Yaya Wang and I have the distinct pleasure and honour of experiencing some of the best that Regina has to offer. Regina Restaurant Week, put on by Regina Downtown Business Improvement District was no exception.
Meeting up with other rad Reginians and now, new friends, we began our evening at Copper Kettle. The staff was delightful and ridiculously knowledgeable. Trying both the Salted Sesame & Caramel Ribs and the Seafood Saganaki was scrumptious. These were paired with a Smoky Old Fashioned with a great presentation and display.
Following Copper Kettle, we bolted down the wintery back alley and into the warmth of Vic’s Tavern, where we were welcomed by gregarious laughter and friendly staff who led us upstairs to the private James Room. Our culinary journey continued as we were served Pork Belly tacos and a pint of Vic’s lager. Many laughs were shared in this great space.
Ducking out into the brisk Regina evening again, we made our way to our last stop of the night, The Fat Badger, where we enjoyed one of the best Sticky Toffee Puddings I’ve ever had. Between the warmth and the subtle sweetness, it made for a great dessert, even for a person like me who doesn’t really dig desserts.
Downtown Regina has so much to offer, with so many great options for restaurants in just a few blocks. I can’t wait to experience more of what Downtown Regina has for Regina Restaurant Week.
