Storybook Toboggan Hills

I feel like the days our family manages to carve out to go tobogganing turn into some of our best winter memories. Regina parks look beautiful covered under a layer of sparkly white snow, and I enjoy tobogganing at parks that highlight this natural beauty. These are a few parks with sledding hills that make your afternoon of tobogganing feel like a page from a winter storybook.

Ice Cream Heaven

One scoop or two? Waffle cone or dish? Stick with your usual Vanilla or go wild with Nutty Hot Fudge Parfait? These are the important questions that must be asked and will be answered (with a minimum of brain-freeze). Thankfully, ice cream is an all-year-round experience in Regina.

Buffalo Pound Provincial Park Day Trip

Located 80 km NW of Regina, Buffalo Pound Provincial Park offers a balanced blend of nature and recreational opportunities. Once used by First Nations to corral bison, the park maintains a captive herd in a paddock that's situated among the area's scenic rolling hills. This park offers excellent hiking, mountain biking and fat biking trails, fishing, swimming, canoeing and kayaking opportunities. Park entry fees are $10 per vehicle for the day, or $75 for an annual park entry permit.
