Welcome to the 2019 Canadian Dragon Boat Championships 

The Canadian Dragon Boat Championship is the most exciting and competitive event in Canada. This marquee event features age categories Junior through Senior C (60+) and includes divisions for University, Breast Cancer Survivors and the Blind and Partially Sighted. The Canadian Dragon Boat Championship's goal is to create the best and fairest racing experience for everyone, while in battle to name the Canadian Champions.


About Wascana Centre 

Wascana Centre is a 930-hectare area in the heart of Regina and the largest urban park in North America. Wascana Centre features a variety of attractions, events, programming, tours, parks and play areas. It is the heartbeat of Regina, a place where the locals congregate to enjoy leisure activities like canoeing, walking and biking. The Wascana Racing Canoe Club and the Regina Rowing Club are both located at the marina on Wascana Lake. This is the hosting grounds for this championship event.

Within the limits of Wascana Centre you will find several major attractions to enjoy. In your down time check these places out:

  • Royal Saskatchewan Museum - Journey through millions of years of Saskatchewan’s geological and natural history. Check out their latest addtion to the museum - Scotty, the most massive Tyrannosaurus rex in the world! It's a MUST SEE this summer. #MASSIVE2019

  • Saskatchewan Science Centre - Explore over 180 hands-on exhibits, stage shows and science activities. If you're looking to relax and be entertained check the film schedule to see what's screening at the IMAX. 

  • Legislative Building - Known as the marble palace, the Saskatchewan Legislative Building is one of the largest legislative buildings in Canada. Learn about the architecture and history of this historic building through a guided tour. Tours are approximately 30 minutes (leaving every half hour from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m) and are free of charge. Tours are offered in both English and French.

  • MacKenzie Art Gallery - Saskatchewan’s oldest public art gallery is kicking off the summer with a bang of exhibits and events. Enjoy the much anticipated opening of Victor Cicansky: The Gardener's Universe (open on June 8 to October 27).

Each evening a different local chef will create a multi-course supper using mainly ingredients from local farms and the orchard. The evening includes a guided tour of the orchard by owners Dean and Sylvia.
