11 ways to enjoy winter in Regina like a local! 

1. Grab brunch with the girls: Catch up with your highschool gal pals over a leisurely Sunday brunch at Hotel Saskatchewan or Breakfast Bistro 

2. Bundle up for a walk: Bundle up in your winter gear because Wascana Park is beautiful to explore by foot, snowshoe, fat bike, or cross country skis

3. Sip on a warm drink: Regina is full of cute cafes to grab a latte! Some of our fav's include: Brewed Awakening, Core Coffee and the Everyday Kitchen

5. Stroll through an art gallery: Several galleries in the city all feature different art genres. Try Slate Gallery, Assiniboia Gallery or the Dunlop Art Gallery 

6. Listen to some live tunes: Head to a live music venue such as The Exchange or The Cure to check out different musical genres

7. Enjoy a live production: Conexus Arts Centre hosts theatre, music and dance while Globe Theatre offers outstanding musical theatre productions

8. Relax with a glass of wine: After a long day exploring the city kick your feet up with a glass of wine at Homestead Bar A Vin or Crave Kitchen + Wine Bar

Learn the story of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police through an interactive museum.

Journey through years of Saskatchewan’s geological and natural history and meet Scotty - the largest T.rex in North America!

Government House

Travel back to Regina's Victorian past by exploring the museum, art gallery and educational centre. Throughout December, the building is transformed into a fabulous holiday spectacle with decorations and trees abound.

Enjoy a guided tour of one of the largest legislative buildings in Canada! tours focus on the architecture and history of the building.

’Twas the Night Before Hibernation Stageshow

Families become part of the action in a re-telling of the classic Christmas poem. Volunteers will be pulled from the audience to play the roles of Saskatchewan winter animals.

Skating 

Regina City Square Outdoor Rink is located in the heart of downtown Regina. Complete with a warming hut, skate shack with free rentals. 12th Avenue and Scarth Street. Opening date and hours to be announced - weather dependent.

Wascana Lake Outdoor Rink is positioned on the edge of the picturesque Wascana Lake, feel like one with nature without leaving the city! 3000 Wascana Drive. Opening date and hours to be announced - weather dependent. 

Cross-Country Skiing 

Regina boasts 13km of groomed skate and classic ski trails for people of all ages ad skill levels. Located at: Douglas Park, the Foothills, Saskatchewan Science Centre and Kinsmen Park. Find trail conditions here.

Toboganning 

The best part about this activity is that it can be done basically anywhere with a hill! Check out your neighbourhood parks or school playgrounds. If you're stuck for ideas or want to find the biggest hill around town, check out this website
