Visitors to Government House are transported back in time as they explore the Amédée Forget Museum, where Government House has been restored to the period of Amédée Forget (1898–1910), who served as Lieutenant Governor of the North-West Territories and later became Saskatchewan’s first Lieutenant Governor in 1905.

Offered at the top of each business hour, tours are free and open to all ages. Groups of ten or more visitors are encouraged to book their tour online ahead of time.
Our tour introduces visitors to Saskatchewan’s legislative process. It covers topics related to the Westminster parliamentary system, the roles of the Lieutenant Governor, Premier, Speaker, and Members of the Legislative Assembly, as well as the history, art, and architecture of the building.
For a public group of less than 10, you do not need to book ahead for a private tour.

The Provincial Capital Commission is pleased to offer private Wascana Lake Boat Tours. These half-hour guided tours will take you on a leisurely excursion around Wascana Lake to give you a true “on the water” experience and provide information on the history of Wascana Lake, and the stories behind the monuments located within Wascana Centre.
